Q:  What is the best way to get an agency?

A:  Very easy, yes, seriously! First thing is to send your pictures. Another way is to call them and ask them about their next open call day. This is the way to ask: "Hi, would you tell me when is your next open call?" You must be ready with pen and paper to write all this information down. Also ask them for their address and directions of how to get there.
Q. How do I get pictures made?

A. Not difficult at all, maybe just finding time is the difficult part. But after you decide to do it is easy! You can even ask any of your friends or any family member to do it for you. Get an instant polaroid camera. Go to interest places, like a park, to the beach, to a port, really, anywhere and just take pictures. You can even do it in your backyard if is interesting enough to take pictures. Be sure you take good headshots, body, half body. Were outfits like jeans, swimsuits, shorts, sports. Also, you can be creative taking some action shots.  Choose the pictures that really show your personality and don't be hard on yourself.
Q. But I want professional pictures done!

A. Ok, some people do!! And you can. The only thing is that you have to be sure you find the right photographer. You might spend from $300.00 to $500.00. Don't spend too much since you might have to keep updating these. If you start pretty young in this business, you will be changing physically, so you will definitely have to update your pictures every other year or so. Check some photographers in the area, you can look in the phone book, ask people around. When you are with the photographer ask, ask and ask questions. Ask to see their portfolios, ask if they have makeup and hair stylist. Ask if they have stylist, (these are the ones that choose your outfits for you, they will style you, you won't have to do it!). Ask if they go on location, (this is better than studio pictures, you don't want portrait pictures for modeling, you want location pictures). Ask them how much is one roll (usually they are $50-$100). Ask them how many outfits. The most common price is 3 outfits for $350 or 4 outfits for $400.00. BE CAREFUL and AWARE of how much you spend. Also, NEVER go alone to a photoshoot with the photographer only. Take a friend or your mother. The photographer should help you choose the best pictures. Good Luck!!
